Evaluation

My aim of this module project was to create a website on the topic of multicultural recipe that relate Mcluhan’s “The global village” and “The medium is the message” this two concept can shown in my website. I choose the multicultural recipe because the countries food cook in the multicultural way so the different countries target audience can communication it and know each other people food culture, in order to follow the trend of the modern society, people are not only satisfied by the normal recipes, but more creative and more multi-countries recipes. as the global gourmet can be shared by the whole world and the message transmitted to the audience are more important than the content. With my website I want to prove that the Internet is' a person's extension, and share some creative multicultural food recipe resources in the community to interact.

My website Aim is help the housewives or cookers to know how to make the special and creative recipes in order to provide delicious meals just as good as restaurants. All the recipes contain the mixture of different countries’ styles and the value of nutrition. It is perfect for the people who like to eat at home but demand for high quality food, and also someone on the diet.

In my website, one of major problem is old lightbox script it’s not working in the Sarfi, but it’s can working in other platform like internet explore,firefox,etc. I try use the update script “lightbox 2” and test my website in different platform, other network support, ipad, iphone, other smart mobile. Most of tools can show my website. The second problem is the uploading problem, it’s cannot upload at my home, I try use my friend’s home network the problem is still same, so I think this is not network problem, it’s school servers problem, so in the finally I only need to go back to university use the school’s internal network to upload or update my website. The third problem is the colour problem, I try use lot of colour to use in my website, but it’s feel boring and not very clear, so my decide colour is from sea, sky, flower. It’s means return to nature, the global links. So I use the blue, white, red, and these three types of colour to become my website match colour.

If time permitted, I will collect lot of creative multicultural recipe or if the project can repeated and if I had to amend my website I will research some creative recipe from different countries housewives or cooker, collect the recipe and upload more recipe in my website and other part Interesting recipe with design also make some link to other partner recipe so that promotion my website to people who like to cook or like eat creative multicultural food. However collect these kind recipe its need more times. So I only collect four multicultural recipes.

In the end, I think my website it's show the multicultural countries food, let more target audience know the different countries food or cook, they can make it together and can create a delicious and creative special recipe. My website also explore “the global village” and “the medium is the message” these two dictums. My website (medium) aims to demonstrate multicultural (Global village) recipe& Image (Message) so the Marshall Mcluhan’s theory is rectified my website.

the lightbox 2 script it's working

The problem is beacuse not update the new code and forget delete the old one in the dreamwaver cs3, and also forgot add the lightbox 2 script in the sites folder.  Now it's can working in the sarfi,firefox and internet explore.

How to add the song in dreamwaver

i add the ''canon'' mid format song in the dreamwaver cs3,click insert go to the media click plugin find the music address and add it. It's the easy way for add the music in the dreamwaver.

create the twitter banner/click the banner can open a new windows problem

For the new banner design, I use Photoshop to create a banner, for this banner it's show the website twitter. So the target audience can follow me and "tweet” it.

I design the banner can open a new windows, so that was easy for the audience to view,  for the test in the internet explorer it is working,  but when I go to school IT room, click use sarfi and firefox in school Mac computer it's not working. I check the code, it's correct.

Decided Importing an (flash) swf file into dreamweaver CS3

For the homepage, I decided to change it, so i use the abode after effects cs3 to create a flash banner. I use some effects in my banner. For the first time i import the banner in the dreamweaver ,there have a problem , for the banner size it's width="509" height="85" but there had black background color with the swf banner in the dreamweaver when it's play, i try change the size to the width="509" height="73",click the autoplay,loop ; the black background it's disappeared.

Home page update

Some one in the presentation tell me my home page the color of letter is not very clear, so for this idea i want to change my home page add a cook tips information in my main page, I think it's can attract to the target audience, the daily life cook skill it's help the people to have experience and tips so that's influence people have good cook skill and create delicious dish and food to their family and friends.

So i collect some good cook tips,use photoshop to create the information and background add it in my website.

Progress:

Make the background with blackboard style, add the Tips information use the white color and Text style is "Tekton Pro" and strong.

Cut the hand image from other picture add it in the background corner

in the finally this image give user feel like some people write the information in the blackboard.

Presentations

There has lots of people design excellent website in the Tuesday presentation ,some classmates and tutor give me some feedback about my website, I make a note it and changed some thing in my website. So I think the Tuesday presentation it’s helpful, people can discussed it together with their product and the audience will give the feedback to the designer. so i need to 100 percent complete my website before deadline, with my final design and information changed, i hope the user will like my website,i also open the twitter today hope every target can follow my website twitter.

Use Browser Compatibility check my each page

Firstly Check with my Homepage,it's show that:

Unsupported value: '05683-486-430t'
Affects: Firefox 1.5; Internet Explorer 6.0, 7.0; Internet Explorer for Macintosh 5.2; Netscape 8.0; Opera 8.0, 9.0; Safari 2.0

I find out this wrong value delets it; it’s had no influence with my home page working.

With the what's on page check there have no prblem and unsupported code.

Check the special recipe it's had similar problem with Homepage i delete it again.

Use lightbox JS script by Lokesh Dhakar

It‘s very helpful,  when u wants to click the image some of them where go to the new page, but when you click after add lightbox js in it so you can see enlarge the image and words in the same page. so it easy for audience to view and save the design page.

Firstly, I create my image size (245*335) and other large one (500*400), save as format png.file.

Secondly, add the css format and js format code in the dreamwaver and add the image and my recipe text in the code.

I also need to download the lightbox JS effect in this website http://www.huddletogether.com/projects/lightbox/

I also add the loading image and create shadow.

This lightbox effect was useful and strong skills so it’s help to me to know knowledge and how to DIY it.

This is (245*335) size the normally one, when you click it become (500*400)size(below show) and I also add the recipe information in it.

So this script was save the page and easy and clear way to show the information to target.

Problem:
This script is not support the target who use sarfi,click it to new page.

I try search what's the problem in the (lightbox)script,but when i google it, i find that is not my create problem it's this script problem this is the old script so that it's the reson of problem come out.

problem with upload at home

i download the "filezilla client" software in my home computer and try to upload website pages at home. when i check and all the information is correct,but the information said that "ETIMEDOUT - Connection attempt timed out" i search the problem on the internet,some one say that maybe firewall problem, i colsed my firewall and try again but it's still not working in my home,but in the school everything is okay,i think this may be not my network's problem it's the school serves prevent the outside network to join in. So it's not very good for me,beacuse i need to check my website can working support to some popular network search support,like internet Explorer,Sarfi,Firefox,etc.So i need to come to school to upload but sometime it's not easy and had no free time when i in the school.

How to add a youtube video to dreamweaver Cs3(problem)

This video is had a esay way to add the youtube video in the dreamwaver cs3 but i try do it with step by step it's not working on my computer.

problem with the Home page link

Before i try to link all the banner page to the other html but it's had a blue box with the banner,it's not look like very well, i create my banner page again and put the "home" letter in the banner and make a hotspot.

So after create this it's better to help user to know where can back to the home page.and the bule box is disappeard.

My website relate to Mcluhan concept

lMcluhan create “The medium is message” this phrase. He also introduced “Global village” this ideology.

l'"the medium is the message" because it is the medium that shapes and controls the scale and form of human association and action.' (McLuhan, 1964, p.9)

lThe medium is message :is the information of media has impact the each medium level. example social,Personal,sensory,psychological etc.

USE FIREWORKS CS3 CREATE GIF MOVE IMAGE

This IMAGE i create it with fireworks cs3.
firstly i used photoshop to make the each image in same size(W420 H304),add word in each image.
i also add five image in the fireworks cs3
after create add it in the dreamweaver cs3. after test the gif image it can work.

i try do use the different color and webbanner color it all feel not good. so i decided my color today i use with the white, blue and a littile bit red with my banner color.

PROBLEM with insert rollover image(Solved)&(new color with Navigation)

Yesterday ,the tutor teach us how to insert rollover image,when i try to do it but it's doesn't working,i re-type the code and insert image again,but it still cannot find the problem,after when i change my css backgroud in the html,the problem is solved,it's can working now. i think may be the background image address or code are not right ,so the problem is come from my background.

Pizza Tofu
How to cook:

Ingredients:

• A big size Chinese north tofu
• pork floss 100g
• 1/2 onion, thinly sliced
• vegetable(custom choice) Recommend use Green pepper, Mushroom, Green beans etc.
• Mozzarella cheese
• Tomato sauce

1. Drain tofu, Rounded shape size,
2. put the all vegetable in the pan ,cook it when dry
3. Use pan heat oil, cook Mozzarella cheese, coated it on tofu surface.
4. tomato sauce coated on the tofu on surface
5. Cut all vegetable into small pieces; put it on the tofu surface.
6. put tofu in the oven, with 220°C,  wait for 16-18 minutes
7. Put pork floss, above tofu.

Japanese sushi rice(French style)

1、  JAPANESE SUSHI RICE

2、  France Cucumbe

3、  Chicken

4、  fromage blanc

5、  Laver

1.    cook the japanese rice

2.    cut France cucumber ,make it look like sushi Barrel style

3.    put some laver in the cucumber

4.    add the rice ,in the cucumber

Thai fish sauces &Chinese mussel

Ingredients:

1.       Chinese fresh mussel

2.       Thai fish sauces

3.       parsley

4.       spices

5.       salt

6.       sugar

Cook：

7.       Put the I liter water in the pot,

8.       add the mussel

9.       put some Thai fish sauces

10.   wait for 15 minutes

11.   Add the Parsley and Spices, salt, and sugar.

Singapore chili sauce Vinergar chicken

Ingredients:

1.Chinese Vinegar

2.Whole chicken

3.Parsley

4.Ginger

5.Garlic

6.Sugar

7.Soy sauce

Progess of cook:

1.Cook the whole chicken with hot water, 2.cut it when the chicken cold

3.Put some soy sauce in the pot,4. add the sugar, 5.and Chinese vinegar, 6.wait for 30 sec,

7.Poured in the chicken

8.Cut the ginger, 9.parley and garlic in add it in this dish.

Designing for the internet project proposal

Concept:

My focus of the website is on promoting the “international food recipe”. In order to follow the trend of the modern society, people are not only satisfied by the normal recipes, but more creative and more multi-countries recipes. This kind of recipes will bring the freshness and gourmet even for the normal family. In my website front page, clear beautiful images with the short instructions next to it will be largely used to attract the audience attentions, the short description of the nutritional value will be written in the recipe to make the website more professional. The concepts of “the global village” and “the medium is the message” would be shown by the website, as the global gourmet can be shared by the whole world and the message transmitted to the audience are more important than the content. The main target audience of my website would be the housewives who have some cooking bases and looking for the more innovative and high quality recipes which can show off to the guests or make a perfect holiday meal, say Christmas meals.
