Evaluation

My aim of this module project was to create a website on the topic of multicultural recipe that relate Mcluhan’s “The global village” and “The medium is the message” this two concept can shown in my website. I choose the multicultural recipe because the countries food cook in the multicultural way so the different countries target audience can communication it and know each other people food culture, in order to follow the trend of the modern society, people are not only satisfied by the normal recipes, but more creative and more multi-countries recipes. as the global gourmet can be shared by the whole world and the message transmitted to the audience are more important than the content. With my website I want to prove that the Internet is' a person's extension, and share some creative multicultural food recipe resources in the community to interact.

My website Aim is help the housewives or cookers to know how to make the special and creative recipes in order to provide delicious meals just as good as restaurants. All the recipes contain the mixture of different countries’ styles and the value of nutrition. It is perfect for the people who like to eat at home but demand for high quality food, and also someone on the diet.

In my website, one of major problem is old lightbox script it’s not working in the Sarfi, but it’s can working in other platform like internet explore,firefox,etc. I try use the update script “lightbox 2” and test my website in different platform, other network support, ipad, iphone, other smart mobile. Most of tools can show my website. The second problem is the uploading problem, it’s cannot upload at my home, I try use my friend’s home network the problem is still same, so I think this is not network problem, it’s school servers problem, so in the finally I only need to go back to university use the school’s internal network to upload or update my website. The third problem is the colour problem, I try use lot of colour to use in my website, but it’s feel boring and not very clear, so my decide colour is from sea, sky, flower. It’s means return to nature, the global links. So I use the blue, white, red, and these three types of colour to become my website match colour.

If time permitted, I will collect lot of creative multicultural recipe or if the project can repeated and if I had to amend my website I will research some creative recipe from different countries housewives or cooker, collect the recipe and upload more recipe in my website and other part Interesting recipe with design also make some link to other partner recipe so that promotion my website to people who like to cook or like eat creative multicultural food. However collect these kind recipe its need more times. So I only collect four multicultural recipes.

In the end, I think my website it's show the multicultural countries food, let more target audience know the different countries food or cook, they can make it together and can create a delicious and creative special recipe. My website also explore “the global village” and “the medium is the message” these two dictums. My website (medium) aims to demonstrate multicultural (Global village) recipe& Image (Message) so the Marshall Mcluhan’s theory is rectified my website.
